This is a hilly walk near Carrbrook on sometimes muddy paths (and therefore rated ‘moderate’ despite its short distance). It takes through a beautiful oak woodland and up to a small reservoir providing you with a sense of wilderness and a feeling of being away from it all.
Accessibility and facilities
As the walk involves a variety of terrain and some gradients, it is not rated as suitable for wheelchair users and those with pushchairs.
While there are no public toilets en route, on reaching Huddersfield Road (the B6175) about 0.6 miles / 1 km from the start, the Stamford Arms pub is just a little way along that road to the left.
