High Hopes for Halliwellbeing

Welcome to our lovely friendly group, lead by an experienced guide!
Started over 2 years ago, this group has been out and about exploring some of the hidden beauty spots around our area. The Walking group is part of a range of activities the Community Centre offers to improve people’s quality of life, their sense of community as well as physical and mental wellbeing.
We love how this group has grown steadily over time to include a diverse range of people from different backgrounds.

We offer walks in Bolton.

We walk fortnightly on a Monday morning from St Paul’s Community Centre, Halliwell Road all around our local area, including Smithills and Moss Bank Park. Returning back to the Community Centre at the end. A great way to meet other like-minded people and explore the area.

If you don’t know the area well – Halliwell Road is served by 526 and 527 bus routes, and there is parking space on the local side streets for free between 9.30-4.30pm. The Community centre is a beautiful building built in 1870s with the red doors next to St Paul’s Church, at what is known locally as the top end of Halliwell!

Walks happen at a leisurely pace and take around 45-90mins, depending on the group and pace.

We have walks to suit mature adults who want a relatively short stroll discovering our local countryside.

Get in touch for more details, either by email or message! We’d love to answer any questions you may have, and let you know the date of our next walk.
