Welcome to Footprints Walking club. We are a small friendly group organising walking events around the country; day walks, weekend breaks and longer holidays in the UK and overseas. Our age range is around fifties to sixties. New members are always welcome, also either side of that age range.
We have a number of members who live in the Greater Manchester area and these are some areas we cover: Stockport, High Peak, Tameside and Altrincham.
Our walks
We organise regular programmes of day-walks covering Northern areas such as the Peak District and Cheshire and Southern counties: Kent, Essex, Herts etc. Our local walks take place on a Saturday and are usually 8 to 11 miles. We aim to start a walk around 10.00 to 11.00 a.m and finish between 4.30 to 6.00 p.m.
We may take packed lunches or have a meal in a pub. We try to finish with a tea shop! In the south we always start from a railway station but in the north it is usually from a car park as the walks may start from a remote area.
Walks to suit
We have walks to suit those who are already regular walkers but if you fit then please do try us out.
