Walk description:

The Dementia Friendly Walks run in the Smithills estate in Bolton, in collaboration with the Woodland Trust.

They take place monthly and involve an hour’s long walk followed by a craft activity.

They are intended for people with early-onset dementia and they must come with a carer/ family member.

The walks are accessible to all, including wheelchair users.

In May, the walk is taking place at Smithills Hall (address below).

The theme of the walk is Wildflower Walk’, in which we will be discussing species of wildflowers and trying to spot some on our walk.

The craft activity is going to be flower pressing.

We will collect petals on the walk, then press and make art with them.
