A walk with history will take place in Sandhills Park, the walk will discuss the evolution of the park, from the Roman times when a stone from the park was quarried, to Collyhurst Clough being a burial ground for plague victims and to the 1960s to the housing estate that is no longer there.
Discussion will also take place around the wonderful nature of how trees pollinate and ensure that they continue to take over land that is not built upon.
After the walk, a light brunch and beverages will be given.
