Step Into Summer with Afrocats! This walk is for all looking to support Afrocats on our 3.2 mile charity walk. As we kickstart the May half term we encourage families and individuals to join us and become part of our movement.
Our participants will are urged to wear our charity colours green or brown in support for our cause and we encourage those involved to fundraise for our charity as a sponsored walk. All donations towards the walk will further support the great work we are doing across Greater Manchester.
We will be taking stops along the way to enjoy some of the great cultural sites Salford has to offer. Starting at the Lowry Theatre on the Quays we will walk 30mins to Ordsall Hall before heading off on another 30min leg along the canal to Aviva Studios. Our final destination will land us in Peel Park to relax and enjoy a picnic in the sunny weather. For those of you who do not feel they are able to join us for the whole walk you can meet us along the way at one of our meeting points (Ordsall Hall @ 11:30am or Aviva Studios @ 12pm).
Our goal for the walk is to improve mental health and wellbeing, develop a community within Manchester and visit core cultural sites in Salford.
