A playful walkshop with dedicated ‘pausing points’ and guided exercises to encourage you to doodle, sketch, rub, note, trace, compose, illustrate, think, jot, map
Simple techniques to help you observe your surroundings, focus on process not product, be in the moment, be curious and even draw whilst walking
Non-artists and those who think they aren’t creative are especially welcome
If you are able, please bring 10 pieces of paper and something to make marks with
Led by a local Walking Artist who specialises in the connection between creativity, walking and wellbeing
The walk starts and finishes outside the front of The Whitworth Art Gallery Oxford Road, Manchester, M15 6ER
Lasts 1½ – 2 hours and approx. 1 mile long
The circular route is flat; on pavements/ hard surfaces; dropped kerbs; safe crossing points; public seating
