Our Irwell are a community group whose aim is to protect, promote and progress access to the River Irwell for everyone. We would love to share a walk along the river with you.
Please join us on a leisurely walk and conversation along our Irwell where we be thinking about connection in different ways:
How does The River Irwell help us connect to nature in the city?
Does the river feel connected to the city?
How doe the river act as a connector?
How can we improve connection and access?
The route is on a variety of textures, and includes some steps. It will last around two hours. We will try to stay as close to the river as possible. If you have any specific access issues or questions please get in touch and we will do our best to help.
All welcome to join us, but please do book in advance
