Walk description:

The Health Improvement Service organises Wellness Walks across Salford, including Eccles, Swinton, Walkden, Broughton, Irlam, Claremont, Ordsall and Worsley. These walks are open to local residents and community members and mainly take place in parks and other green spaces. The aim of the walks is to encourage regular physical activity, support wellbeing and help people feel more connected to their local community, linking closely to the theme of improving health through accessible outdoor activity. Alongside the walks, the Health Improvement Service promotes wider health and wellbeing by delivering health and wellbeing programmes focused on physical activity, weight management, stop smoking support, health checks and work well programmes.
