There is a long tradition going by the odd name of a Rogation Walk. This is an annual walk of a Parish boundary, enabling a congregation to reflect on the community it serves. the parish of Friezland lies in a beautiful area of the Pennines, so this is also a lovely walk in nature for all to enjoy. Two groups will start at the same place and time. This long walk follows the boundary as closely as possible and will be a faster pace, twice the distance and traverse mixed terrain (road, track and loose dirt/stones) incorporating 2 hill climbs. The other walk takes a more leisurely pace around a flatter route, largely along canal towpaths and bridlepaths, touching the parish boundary occasionally. Both start and return to the church, where refreshments will be available.
