Greenmount District Community Wellbeing Walk

Bury Council

Bury

3-4 miles

Tue 14th May 2024 at 10:30

Walk description:

This woodland and open countryside walk is led near to the KIrlees Trail which goes along a disused railway line, however to make an interesting circular walk, we use some footpaths, local public rights of way and quiet roads. The walk is mainly on level terrain with occasional cobbled/stepped areas (*only on some routes) or muddy paths if we venture into the woods, so please wear appropriate footwear.
After the walk, many walkers go on to enjoy light refreshments at the Hub Tea Room opposite the start point on Brandlesholme Road. Everybody Welcome!

Starting point
Meeting by the entrance to the Kirklees Valley Nature Reserve on Brandlesholme Road, Greenmount. Bury.
