Our walk is a community‑led wellbeing project created for women and children who have survived domestic violence. It is a safe, empowering space designed to honour their courage, rebuild confidence, and remind every survivor that healing is possible. The aim of this walk is to bring survivors together in solidarity, reduce isolation, and create a gentle pathway back into community life through movement, connection, and nature.
This year’s theme focuses on strength, resilience, and reclaiming freedom. Walking is symbolic — every step represents progress, recovery, and the right to live without fear. By walking together, we create visibility for survivors whose stories are often hidden, and we raise awareness about the ongoing need for protection, support, and trauma‑informed services.
The walk will take place in Manchester, using familiar community routes that feel safe, open, and accessible for families. Along the way, we will include moments of reflection, encouragement, and celebration of the bravery shown by women and children who have rebuilt their lives after abuse.
Our organisation works to promote holistic wellbeing, emotional healing, and community empowerment. We support survivors through therapeutic services, advocacy, and safe spaces where they can reconnect with themselves and others. This walk is an extension of that mission — a reminder that survivors are not alone, and that together, we rise.
