Welcome to Greater Manchester and High Peak Area of the Ramblers

If you live in or around Greater Manchester or are visiting and enjoy walking, whether it be gentle or strenuous, the Greater Manchester and High Peak Area of the Ramblers and its associated groups organise hundreds of walks throughout the year, so there is sure to be something for you.

This page lists all walks that will be taking place for up to three months ahead. You can also search for walks by group or even on specific days of the week.

There are also links on that page of the area site to each of the Group web sites that will give details of all the other activities of the Ramblers in our area. All local groups organise led walks, weekends away, social activities and have also active Footpath Teams who monitor and help maintain local footpaths and rights of way across their areas.

Our walks

Unlike many other Ramblers Areas, Manchester and High Peak itself organises a full led walks programme covering Greater Manchester and beyond, with all walks making use of public transport connections.
