Welcome to Hiking for Health by Pride Disability. We are a community organisation that carries out non-competitive outdoor physical activities to primarily benefit members of the Greater Manchester community by helping tackle isolation, anxiety and stress issues through living life more healthily both physically and mentally recharging by means of participating in group hikes, walks and other friendly planned outdoor activities, whilst building a systemic support network group.
Our walks range from more than 18 Local parks for an easy walk and talk session to more exciting self-challenging hike experiences in bigger green spaces around National Trust Parks with breath-taking views such as ;
Boggart Clough Hole
Philips Park
Stalybridge Country park
Peak District area
Teggs Nose
Crompton Moor
Heaton Park
Chorlton Park
The walks range from 1.5Km to 15Km and normally last between 45 mins and 4 hours depending on intensity, We have short and easy walks walks to suit families and young explorers, disabled people within accessible park areas, and slightly intensive hikes for endurance and those wanting a bit of challenge
