Parks and Pathways Nordic Walking (Salford & Manchester)

We’re a friendly group who love Nordic Walking led by Nordic Walking UK qualified fitness & Nordic Walking instructor, Susan Spain. .

Our motto is Fitness, Fun, Friendship & Fresh Air! We’re based weekly in Salford (Clifton Country Park on Saturdays plus varying Salford venues on a Thursday) and Manchester (Chorlton Water Park rotating with other South Manchester venues on a Monday) but also have a programme of monthly walks taking place in different locations across Greater Manchester. There are at least 6 sessions a week to choose from.

Walks are tailored to suit different levels of fitness from Moderate to Faster paced Workout Walks to Gentle to Easy Pace sessions so there really is something to suit almost everyone.
Benefits of Nordic walking
– Uses 90% of your muscles (95% if you’re chatting!)
– Burns up to 46% more calories than regular walking
– Takes pressure off your lower joints
– Great for anyone with back, neck or shoulder problems
– Fun, sociable, safe outdoor exercise (great stress buster)
– Makes it easier to walk further & faster but without as much effort (discover the power of the poles!)

Contact Parks & Pathways Nordic Walking for more details of the programme on offer. Book your ‘Discover the Power of the Poles’ induction session  (£15 for 90 mins small group induction session. The induction price also includes your first group walk on a date & time to be agreed after your induction so you can have more practice & see if it’s something you’d like to do ongoing.) All equipment provided. After your induction, Pay as you Go Walks cost £7.50. There is also a £29 monthly membership package.
