There is a long tradition going by the odd name of a Rogation Walk. This is an annual walk of a Parish boundary, enabling a congregation to reflect on the community it serves. the parish of Friezland lies in a beautiful area of the Pennines, so this is also a lovely walk in nature for all to enjoy. Two groups will start at the same place and time. This short walk takes a more leisurely pace around a flatter route, largely along canal towpaths and bridlepaths, touching the parish boundary occasionally. The other walk follows the boundary as closely as possible and will be a faster pace, twice the distance and traverse mixed terrain (road, track and loose dirt/stones) incorporating 2 hill climbs. Both start and return to the church, where refreshments will be available.
No booking required. Turn up at 1.45pm for a 2pm start.
