Join us to celebrate the GMWalking May Festival with an Historical Ramble around the Broadbent Moss Circuit in the Beal Valley lead by our very own Mike from Moorside & District Historical Society – we know many of you have been asking for a route in this area!!
We’ll be heading out a week earlier than usual, on the third Sunday in May Sunday 19th, and will be exploring some of the vanished past history in our local area using old photographs and maps along the way 📸🗺
Mike has tons of local knowledge so it’s a fantastic opportunity to meet others and find out more about where you live.
Come along if you want to make friends and meet neighbours, explore your local area, spend time in nature and boost physical and mental wellbeing. We’re a fun and friendly bunch!
The route is just over 2 miles and may be muddy in places due to the weather, so sturdy boots, long pants, and weather-appropriate clothing are a must. Meet outside Sholver Community Centre at 1pm. You can respond to the Facebook event here: https://fb.me/e/3AYj8OVtX, and join the Sholver Sunday Stroll whatsapp group to share pics, suggest future routes, and keep in touch with fellow Strollers by using the following link: https://chat.whatsapp.com/EVy4Y39ECeOAi9tP6vhCG7.
