Description

Welcome to Altrincham and District Rambling Club.
We are a friendly, well-organised and long-established walking Club who offers walks to suit varying levels of aspiration and fitness. In addition to our regular walking programme, we also organise coach trips during the summer months which take us further afield to explore areas which we would not normally get to on our usual walking days, and we also have an annual waking holiday and occasional social events. New members are always welcome to join us, so please have a look at us – we may be just what you are looking for.

Our walks take place on Sunday and Wednesday and at least two walks of differing orders of difficulty are normally offered on each day. Our varied programme sees us walking in Derbyshire, Cheshire, Staffordshire and North Manchester and to reach the start point of the walks we operate a car-sharing system with a pick-up point in Altrincham.

Distance Ranging from:

Our walks are generally full day events with the shorter “easier” walks being up to 6 miles and the longer “harder” walks being up to 12 miles, with “intermediate” walks falling between the two.

We have walks to suit those who have a general level of fitness and who want to explore the countryside and make new friends. The walks are graded in terms of length and degree of difficulty, with “taster” walks available for prospective new members to try us out prior to joining.
