Beginner

Suitable for someone who has not walked regularly for a while and may need to build up how far and for how long they walk. May only get out once a week for less than 30 minutes.

Intermediate

Suitable for someone who walks fairly often as part of their everyday routine, perhaps for exercise, to go to the shops or to take the children to the park.

Experienced

Someone who walks a lot for leisure as well as in their daily routine. Perhaps a member of a walking group, or a regular walk commuter. Comfortable on walks lasting 3 hours or more.

Please add your information as you'd like it to be read, please ensure details are as accurate as possible.

  • The name of your walking group. If you don't have one yet, see some of our other groups for inspiration
  • Copy and paste from your website or type in 1 to 2 paragraphs describing your group.

    You might want to mention the age group(s) that your walking group or scheme caters to, other activities you offer, such as social events or footpath repair, and any national organisations your group is affiliated to.

    Remember to include a sentence stating that new members are always welcome!
  • You can tick one, two or all three if you have walks.
  • Copy and paste from your website or type in 1 to 2 paragraphs describing the types of walks your group offers, the areas covered, how often walks take place and any other useful information such as whether your works are accessible by public transport.

    NB. Do not include any information that is likely to change or be updated, such as a forthcoming list of walks, as this is more easily left on your website.

    After completing this form, please email between 1 and 3 photographs that represent your group to info@gmmoving.co.uk using your walking group’s name as the subject of the email.

    Provided that you have permission to have these displayed publicly, it could be a good idea to select photos that make your group look welcoming and friendly. Also, if you offer a mix of easy and harder walks, photos showing these different kinds of walks and landscapes.

    NB. Photographs should be in landscape (i.e. horizontal) format, with the subject (for example, members of your group) positioned in the centre of the image with some space around.
    This is because we have to crop the photos to a specific size for the website.
