This route takes in a mix of suburban areas and green space including the River Medlock, Brookdale Park, Rochdale Canal, Broadhurst Park and finishes in Boggart Hole Clough.
It is one of the 14 routes of Manchester’s Green Trail, which connects many of the beautiful green spaces and tree lined streets around the city. The Green Trail is a partnership project between Manchester City Council, The Ramblers and Transport for Greater Manchester. Leaflets describing the other stages of the trail can also be downloaded from this site.
Accessibility and facilities
While many sections of the route are likely to be suitable for wheelchair-users and for families with pushchairs, we have not been able to verify conditions on the ground. For this reason, we are not currently classifying this walk as wheelchair or pushchair-friendly.
