Old Trafford Walking Routes

These walks are a great way to explore the area of Old Trafford. The area is steeped in history and boasts amazing street art and creativity varied green spaces to play and relax in, and fascinating landmarks.

The routes were developed by Love Old Trafford and other local groups as part of Right to the Streets. With local people, Right to the Streets has been exploring how we can make our streets and public spaces safer, more welcoming and joyful for women and girls.

Why? Because research shows that everyday sexual harassment and fear of gender-based violence makes it more difficult for women to lead active lives. We want to change that by reclaiming these spaces.

Route A is a circular walk that explores community stories past and present – represented through storytelling and art murals that connect people and space. Bring your phone to make the most of QR codes along the way. This is a one mile route suitable for all fitness levels and with accessible paths.

Route B explores the community’s amenities and green spaces. This is a 2.2 mile route that is suitable for all fitness levels. The paths are easy and accessible so they are wheelchair and buggy friendly.

Route C this route takes you on a tour of three parks to help you connect with nature and enjoy the green spaces in your community. This is a gentle 2.75 mile route which is suitable for all fitness levels and all paths are accessible.
